This brand is fairly new but shiseido itself is fairly well known. Shiseido is truly one of Japan’s biggest brands with the company adding new diffusion lines all the time. Aupres is one such line. It is currently sold only in China and Malaysia and was initially created for China’s ever expanding beauty market. The brand consists of 5 skincare lines, a premium line, a suncare line and of course a cosmetics line. The brand entered the chinese market in 1994, overhauled the brand in 2008 and entered Malaysia in 2012.
Aupres is a high end brand and appeals to the modern Chinese woman with their growing levels of income. Age wise it is aimed at women from their 20s-40s and their skincare collections encompass whitening, anti-ageing, regeneration and prevention. Stand out pieces are their eyeshadow palettes, foundations and their cell renewing collection from the premium line. The packaging is chic and understated and from an aesthetics point of view it looks very luxury. The Chinese market has become highly competitive with China quickly becoming one of the World’s richest nations.
What is surprising is that the line is not available for purchase in Japan despite Shiseido being a Japanese line. One thing that always annoys me about Shiseido’s diffusion lines is that they’re almost always not available in the UK despiste Shiseido being so well known here. Aupres utilises the latest technologies to create skincare that works in targeting problem areas. This range has been created for Asian women but I’ve found that it also works well on my own skin that is as far from Asian as humanly possible (almost).
Getting hold of this online is a mission in itself. I was lucky enough to grab a few bits from Ebay though so keep your eyes peeled. Would you like to try this brand?
