Regular readers will remember that a few weeks ago I attended the launch of Cocosa Beauty and fell in love with luxury skincare brand Oskia. I had a facial at the event that used only Oskia products and it did wonders for my skin. Leaving it brighter and softer to the touch.Oskia products are centred around MSM which is a naturally occuring form of sulphur and this ingredient is known to boost the production of collagen which in turn helps to renew and repair the skin. The product I shall be reviewing today is their Renaissance Mask which alongside MSM’s also includes AHA’s (which are used to exfoliate the skin deep down) Ribose (which improves the look of your skin leaving it brighter) and Papaya Enzymes (which unblock pores and thoroughly cleanse your skin).
Oskia products are based in science and this one is no exception. Synthetic chemicals are replaced with high performing ingredients based in nature.
I was excited to try out this product properly so I trialled it over a two week period and these are my thoughts on the product:
This mask has an unusual texture but feels lovely on the skin and it smells great thanks to the inclusion of organic ingredients - natural perfume of rose, passion fruit and chamomile. The scent isn’t overpowering but smells fresh and relaxing on the skin. It is a soft peachy pink colour but turns a milky white once it is masssaged into the face. Unlike some masks it doesn’t harden on the skin or feel uncomfortable nor does it feel sticky and it should be left on for around 15 minutes.
It works incredibly well and left my skin feeling smoother and softer, it also worked miracles on the acne on my cheeks. One amazing thing I have noticed after two weeks use is that my pores appear considerably smaller and my skin tone less uneven. Also my face looks brighter and more radiant.
It is rare for a product to do everything it claims but this one does. At around £48 it isn’t cheap but in my opinion it is well worth it and I will be restocking when I run out. I’ll be interested to see what effect long term usage has on my skin.
So who wants to try out this wonder product for themselves? Well the lovely Georgia of Oskia has donated their Indulgence Gift Set for one lucky winner. The set consists of the renaissance mask that I reviewed here as well as Oskia’s Rose de Mai Massage Candle.
