Wish Magazine I don’t buy women’s magazines, I’m not sure when exactly I stopped but I think it was around the same time that I discovered blogs. I tired of their condescending editorials and anti-feminist agenda. On the one hand they tell you you’re fine as you are but on the other they ram all manner of diets and beauty treatments down your throat. Not to mention articles like ’10 ways to get a man’ etc. I always longed for a magazine full of pretty things to buy, bake, make and do. Most of the blogs I read are style, DIY and foodie blogs and that is where my interests lie! So let me introduce you to WishMag which offers all these things and more. Beautiful illustrations and typography appear throughout this magazine and it is no secret that I’m a huge font addict. But this magazine offers so much more – interviews, recipes, things to make, places to visit in London, beautifully ethereal fashion photoshoots and that’s barely half the magazine. This truly is a magazine for those of us who like to fill our lives with pretty things. It was created and edited by Carrie of the blog Wish Wish Wish and Lucy from Shiny Thoughts. If you like Carrie’s blog then you’ll LOVE Wish magazine! To wet your appetite take a look at the photos below, for a little glimpse at the magazine. Isn’t it a beauty? Reply Casee Marie July 29th, 2012 I completely relate to your feelings about mags. I narrowed my subscription down to two, but I think this year I’m finally going to give those last ones the boot because I just don’t read them. I think it’s a combination of not having time and just not connecting with them. I always thought Frankie seemed like ‘my style’ and I have one issue which I adore, but the subscription is expensive and it’s not as fun to get a mag in the dead of summer that’s focusing on cozy things to do in the winter. Wish looks completely adorable; Carrie’s blogs was one of the first I ever read! Reply gdg1981 August 1st, 2012 I love Frankie too but it is expensive and it doesn’t arrive over here till about a month after its released in Oz. Unfortunately Wish was a one off project for Carrie and Lucy’s degrees so no more issues :/ Reply Kristiina July 30th, 2012 I TOTALLY relate! I somehow got a couple magazine subscriptions and I don’t even read them because it seems like they say the same thing over and over. That said, this looks completely darling! It would be fun for all of us to be able to do something like this once a year, maybe a best of the blog round up issue? Reply gdg1981 August 1st, 2012 That would be awesome! Reply Elzira August 1st, 2012 love the site, very nice and meaningful, keep it up. Reply Lucy Nicholls August 2nd, 2012 Thanks so much for this post my dear! You’re most kind to have put in the link! We’ve never said we wouldn’t do another, in fact we’d love to! It just won’t be for a while yet you never know, maybe one day you’ll he able to subscribe! Love! Xxx Reply Sarah Bogott August 4th, 2012 I love this magazine so much, exactly for the same reasons as you do. I do read a lot of magazines actually, and there are always a few pages in each that I really like. I love all pages of Wish magazine though! Great blog post! I’m also going to blog about it today. http://sarahbogott.wordpress.com Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
